Dear Clarence Cross:
I'm sending this message for tell you about how different is the UK culture to ours (chilean of course). Well you were right about this place everything is different to their clothes from their ideologies even the the cars wheels are in the other side is like they try to tell to the world that they are not like the others countries, that they are the greatest country of the world and that's why they are different to us. These kind of thinking is typical of the English people is quite annoying that they think like that way, but whatever they practically own the world right? If I'm wrong we would not be talking in english right now.
You know that people at the UK have the best security system! I haven't seen anything like it! It feels like being at a James Bond movie every time is someone watching me with those cameras all around the city, not like Chile were with a little bit of luck we get a camera at the ATM's pointing at our credit cards code. And the best part of this place is that they don't use grille around their houses! Nothing like Chile were our houses looks like bunkers for all the security system that we have to buy for the thief do not dare to come inside. Even tho their food habits are different, they eat a lot at breakfast and they practically don't eat lunch, but they then eat again a lot at the dinner. I don't liked this habits I prefer the one we have in Chile is kind a more handy.
Well Clarence I have to go, I'm with a little bit of hurry, the UK is so different and we have a lot of things we have to learn about this country, like you told last time " there is nothing similar like the lands England" you were right, at least mostly because I still found some chileans habits better. We have to discuss it later then!
Sincerely, Juan Salgado

TCK song
British are coming- Weezer
I choose this song beacuse it show the hate that Americans, most of them British people born in the Americas, had on the British people for stop the manipulation and extortion by the King in the new world.
The song make me feel kind of patriotic even when I'm not an American (US citizen) and also a hate to them like to oppress over the weak and powerless, in other words a hate over the tirany.
When I listen to the words of the song it make me think that the singer is a patriotic and violent person who could be a racist, because he insult and mocks the British. Also I think that the song is a message to the Americans for keep their traditions and don't been influencie for foreign people.
This relate to me in the way that I don't like to be exploited for the advantages and amenities of other people.

Rational and Written Task of The Hunger Games
Rationale:
The Hunger Games is a contemporary novel written by
Suzanne Collins. The objective of this written task is to show Prim’s
perspective (sister of the protagonist, Katniss) in the events of the reaping,
what she thinks about the sacrifice that her sister made for saving her and
Prim’s point of view about the hunger games and her relationship with Katniss.
I have chosen a diary entry because is the best way to
show Prim’s feelings and opinions with freedom. Prim is an essential character
in the novel because is Katniss’s motivation for keeping fighting and
surviving, she is the reason why the novel exists.
This diary will have an informal and private style,
because is her diary and no one has to know what she is writing, so the only
audience of this will be Prim herself. In conclusion, the diary is something
that shows the point of view of this character and her thoughts about the sacrifice
of her sister and their relationship.
Written Task:
Dear diary, 4/8/2088
What a day was today, I still can't believe what just happened... My sister gave her life for saving me in the reaping! How this happened? Why me? Did it have to be this way? I still cannot believe that in my first day at the reaping I was chosen with just a single stupid paper with my name on it when there was like a dozen of girls with more than one paper with their names on it.
I wish that Katniss can arrive safe at our home, I don't think that I can stand another death in my family even when Katniss is the one who took the leadership when our father died in the mine explosion. Without her my mom and I could not stand a month alone, I can't imagine my life without her... But I still have hope in her for win the hunger games after all she is the strongest person that I ever met! Her skills with the bow and arrow will definitely save her for more than one trouble. I have to stay positive, I'm not going to let the pessimism control my feelings, Katniss will make it to arrive to our home alive! I hate this dumb system!
The President Snow and the Capitol don't have any morals in their heads, why making the Hunger Games? We already understood our terrible past. I don't think that we are going yo repeat those events, the president Snow should reflect about this... Or probably he continue doing this because he wants to impose fear to the poor Districts and doesn't judge his titan for not making anything silly like a rebellion, but whatever I've never been a fan of politics.
Let's go back to the reaping, the moment when it started I was so nervous that I couldn't control my breath, I was sweating cold and my heart beat was rising however I shouldn't have any reasons to be like that after all my name was written in just one paper, but the destiny can do whatever it wants, so it picked me. When the presenter said my name I was paralysed, the fear toured all over my body I couldn't believed it I thought it was a bad dream, but unfortunately it wasn't. I wouldn't be mad if Katniss don't volunteer for me, I would have understood, but just thinking of going to that death tub it made me chill.
This day I felt all the emotions than a human can possible feel: Anger, fear, confuse, happiness, satisfaction, nostalgia, etc. I hope my sister can arrive safe to our home she knows that my mom and can't survive alone. I miss Katniss... I also want that someday the Hunger Games end for stop this heartless system once for all, it is just a stupid and unethical way of controlling the people, the capitol needs to use more of it unused brain. Well is too late I have to sleep, Katniss will make it alive I know I feel it!

The Kite Runner Review
The Kite
Runner. 4 stars of 5
By Juan
Ignacio Salgado
The kite
runner, the book that tells the reality of most children in Afghanistan in the
70s by the Afghan writer Khaled Hosseini. We all know that there are many
problems in the Middle East nowadays, so it was in the past. The soviet
invasion was the biggest problem in Afghanistan many people that not escape and
staid in the country suffer in the most horrible ways possible.
The book is
about the friendship of two kids both in a different economic class, who live
in dangerous period in Afghanistan because of the Cold War and the constant
fight between the "Pashtuns" (the rich people) and the
"Hazaras" (the poor people). Both kids have to deal with that ethnic
fight, Amir and Hassan is his names Amir is a Pashtun and Hassan is a Hazara.
Their personalities are totally different and of consequence of that they are a
great team and they show their team work in the kite runner tournament, that is
very important for the Afghan people and is a great honor win that tournament.
This book
have an amazing story, the way that the author explain the Afghan culture is
hard to believe being a western, also the events of the book are so tragic and
traumatic that make you want to read more, but in the other side the beginning
of the book is very slow and have many of useless information furthermore the
book have a lot of emotional content so it make sometimes difficult to
understand, but it still a great story that I recommend to read and it's going
to change your perspective of the Middle East.
