Heart of Darkness summery 44-49(Chapter 2)

The journey became strange because Marlow think that is in a dream , he is cut off from all understanding of the world and feels like he has no memories ,also he finds himself identifying with the Africans natives hiding out in the bush , then Marlow start to talk about a cannibal fireman on board , he is the kind of fireman that start fires , not the kind of fireman that put them out , the fireman has been told that if the water in the boiler ever disappears the evil spirit inside will take revenge , that is how they make him work.Fifty miles before they arrive at the Inner station , they run across a pile of firewood and a wrning message "Approach cautiously",but Marlow and company continue foward , then they find an abondoned hut with a book inside.It`s entitled "An inquiry into some Points of Seamanship" and in a very bad conditions. Even though Marlow doesn`t understand it , it comforts him. It gives him more reality in what is happening in there.At sun down of the second day , they decide to stop and rest because the manager was very tired , the night stiil eerily. At dawn , a thick fog falls and they cannot see anything they hear persons shouting somewhere in the fog in resume they are freaking out.

Heart of Darkness summery 38-43(Chapter 2)

 Marlow hears the manager and his uncle talking about something interesting (is about Kurtz), they think that he is stealing ivory, Kurtz came down the river to send the ivory to the company but then decided to turn back, however we can deduce that Marlow have an a obsession with Kurtz because he think that is anadmirable person .Marlow keep listening the conversation until the tells to the manager about the scary wilderness in Africa , Marlow get very scared of that , soon the Eldorado Exploring Expedition leaves. Marlow get inform that all their donkeys die so he deduce that the mens die too then it takes teo months of going up river through the scary forest to reach Kurtz`s station , the trip was so scary that Marlow describes it as traveling back to the beginning of time , before the dawn mankind also he feels tiny in compare of the forest.They have cannibals on board , but they don`t eat someone now for respect for their employers so they eat rotten hippo meat ,also Marlow in this moment get really obsessed about Kurtz.

What is Imperialism?

1.- Imperialism is the formation and maintenance of empires, either through direct territorial control or through indirect methods of political control and economy of other countries , also imperialism is used by the most powerful nations on the weakers for extract resources, in other words is an attitude and doctrine of those who practice the extension of the domain of one country over another by military forces , economic or political.

2.- What do you know about imperialism in Africa?

 I know that the powerfull contries in that time colonize Africa like the Britian , France , Belgium , Germany ,  Portugal , Spain, Italy , etc. Also I know that France have more colonies in Africa than the others and that the natives in Africa suffer very much when they arrive because the European overexploit and abuse the african people using they by slave , destroying their land and treat them like animals.

3.- What is your opinion about imperialism? is it fair or unfair?
 
 My opinion is that the imperialism is unfair , because the powerfull contries abuse the weaker ones and they use their power to destroy lands , the morality of the natives and also they kill the natives using them by slave or for do the hard work that anyone want to do without giving food or a break. In conclusion the powerfull contries just give troube to the natives in all the world , but also they give to they some consciences about world.

Alternative medicine the best way to cure insomia

 I think that the best way to cure the insomnia is the alternative medicine because the insomnia is more a psychologicl problem than a disease . The insomnia consist on sleeping problems and in my view the conventional medicine will not help in this disease.

 First the alternative medicine in the insomnia not only the patient doesn`t take any risks , but also it is cheaper than conventional medicine and can be free if you use home remedies , like eat lettuce at night , don`t sleep during the day , etc. The patient will think that conventional medicine it`s better because they have professionals and remedies that will cure it , but it`s not true the remedies cn provide secundary effects like sleepwalking , amnesia , vomit , etc.

 Second if you don't want or you don`t have time to dde the home remedies the patient can go to a psychologhy that depending of the type of the insonia that you got will take longer if is dangerous , also you can take an anti-stress massage that will probabily cure it instantly, this treatments are cheaper and will not take too much.

 Finally I think an I sure that it that this medicine is the best way to cure this disease because it don't take to long , is cheaper and it is secure thus will give the patient more confience and satisfaction.
